Why Choose BusyMinds Therapy
Understanding Neurodivergence
As someone who is late diagnosed autistic and ADHD with many sensory difficulties I understand the unique challenges that everyday life brings. My approach and communication is direct, clear and structured.
Neuro-Affirming Sessions
Does the question "How are you?" makes you uncomfortable? - I know what you mean, let's talk about what works for you and with your input I will provide the counselling environment that feels right for you. Eye contact? - No need, unless you want to.
Flexibility in Communication and Session
No matter if you love a rigid routine, or you have a busy schedule where no two weeks look the same? - I am here to work with you and provide the flexibility you need.
Feel free to book an Introductory Video Call or your first Session straight away. You can also contact me via email or WhatsApp. However, I will not take phone calls or respond to voice messages.
Qualified to help you
Whether you are newly diagnosed, currently exploring your own or a family member's neurodivergence, such as autism, ADHD, tourrets, dyslexia, dyspraxia for example, struggling with day-to-day life or you feel it is time for change, I offer a safe space.
In addition to my Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling I have years of experience woking with mostly neurodivergent clients in suicide prevention as well as experience supporting individuals in their grief through volunteering for Cruse Berevement Services in the past.
Through my own lived experience with autism and ADHD, as well as living with neurodivergent family members and additional professional training in working with autistic clients in the counselling room I can bring a wealth of understanding and compassion for those with similar experiences.
However, I am fully aware of the fact and the saying that "If you have met one autistic person, you have met one autistic person". And with this awareness I will not claim to be the expert on your life, but support you all the way.
