About Me

My Background
Hi, I'm Nadine – a neurodivergent counsellor offering a space where you don't have to mask, explain, or apologise for how you experience the world.
I'm an integrative counsellor with a Level 5 Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling, but more importantly, I'm also autistic and have ADHD myself. I know firsthand how challenging, confusing, and overwhelming life can feel when the world isn't built for how your brain works. And that lived experience is at the heart of how I practice.
Counselling with me is a space where you can be your full, unmasked self—whether that means stimming, rambling, going quiet, needing a moment to regroup, or losing your train of thought. I genuinely understand how hard it can be to find the right kind of support when you're neurodivergent. I also understand the strength it takes to keep going when you are constantly navigating a world that can feel too loud, too fast, too demanding, or just not designed for you.
Having studied engineering at universities in Germany and England followed by working in engineering roles in Aerospace and Medical Devices I have a good understanding of complex and technical work environments, expectations to perform in demanding roles and industries as well as experience in navigating life in different countries and cultures.
My love for root cause analysis in engineering is what I believe led me to become a therapist where I want to help individuals to find the origin of their distress and support them in their healing and growth.
I am aiming to build a relationship where you feel safe, accepted, and genuinely understood.
From Engineering to Psychotherapeutic Counselling
My experience as a mechanical and manufacturing engineer might seem worlds apart from counselling — but in reality, it laid a powerful foundation for the way I work with clients in therapy today. Analysing and improving manufacturing processes and conducting quality audits taught me to see processes and parts individually, how they interact with each other, and in terms of unplanned manufacturing issues — the importance of identifying root causes rather than reacting to symptoms. I learned how to ask the right questions, to listen between the lines, and to create change that's sustainable — not just reactive.
As a therapist, I bring that same depth of curiosity and clarity to my clients' emotional worlds. Working from a person-centred approach I don't just trace the pattern — I sit with you in it, without judgment. I offer the core conditions of empathy, congruence, and unconditional positive regard, which means I meet you exactly where you are, as you are. This combination — of structured insight and compassionate presence — allows me to support clients in making sense of complex, often overwhelming experiences, and moving toward real change on their own terms.
